Discovering new to me authors and loving them is the literally the best thing ever. I have to give a huge shout out to Smartypants Romance, which all take place in Penny Reid’s universe for releasing some really fun reads last year. The next round of releases have already been happening, but I haven’t quite gotten to them yet.
2019 treated me so well with new authors and I can’t wait to read from them!

charleigh rose
I honestly don’t remember if it was last year or the year before, but I love Charleigh. Every single of her books have drawn me in completely. She writes angst so well and some of the best characters you can’t help but fall in love with. Rewrite the Stars is my absolute favorite by her!

Jessie mihalik
Polaris Rising was one of my top reads from last year, Jessie writes science fiction so phenomenally. I just received Chaos Reigning (book 3 of the series!) in the on my kindle and I absolutely can’t wait to jump in!

rachel higginson
Ahhhh, finding Rachel was an absolute gem! The Something About Her was my first read by Rachel and yes, I know that was the 4th book in the series … Like I mentioned yesterday, I’m the CEO of reading books out of order 😉 Last year, I went back and read The Opposite of You and loved it! Definitely can’t wait to get back to this series.

Karla sorensen
Penny Reid brought us Smartypants Romance and I am here for it! Baking Me Crazy is the first in the Donner Bakery series and I loved Karla’s story within this universe. It’s set in the infamous Green Valley World, if you’re a fan of Penny Reid, grab this one. You’ll love it!

As far as Catherine Cowles goes, truly enjoyed small town romances with a bit of suspense. She’s a solid hitter in the the contemporary romance genre and everyone needs add her books to their TBR.

It’s an automatic win when an author draws you into the story almost instantly, and that’s exactly what happened with my first read by Kate Meader. I definitely need to go through her backlist of books!
And there you have it, my favorite new to me authors from 2019!
Have you read any books by these authors?
NEXT POST: CAPTIVATING CHARACTERS
I really enjoyed Polaris Rising, the second book was a bit of a let down, but I’m excited to see what the author comes up with next.
Have you read The Five Stages of Falling in Love by Rachel Higginson yet? It’s my absolute favourite by her – all the feels, all the stars!!!
Lovedddd Polaris Rising sooo much, I’m excited to get into book 3!
And I haven’t, but I’ll add that to my TBR. I’m hoping to get through her backlist this year. Now I’m all excited to read it!
Enjoy it. Let me know if it was a good one for you. 😀
Charleigh Rose definitely finds some pretty boys for her covers, dayum. Ten points to Ravenclaw for her cover artist, whoever they are!
She really does!!! And her books are addicting, pretty sure I binged them all after I read Rewrite the Stars.
