/anyone else having a slow reading start for May?

I sure am, I'm reading a fantasy book that's having a bit of a slow part. And there's multiple POVs, I'm enjoying it, but just taking quite some to get through.

Anywho, happiest of book birthdays to @clairecontreras! The Heartbreaker is new adult:

🏈 sports romance
🏈 roommates

And a bit of the emotion train towards the end 😥 but I sure did like this one!

We're hoping to get somewhere for the mister heads out again. He suggested camping, but that sounds horrible in this Florida heat.

I can't believe we've reached the end of this series and I loved the crap out of it.

If you didn't know, @sawyerbennett123 writes some pretty solid fantasy romance! And I hope she writes more because I need it all.

I had all the intentions to do a couple reading challenges for the month, but my mood took a major dive. So, I'm just gonna go through some backlisted books I've been wanting to get to.

My moods are with grittier/darker romances, I binged 2 bully romance series. And had the constant question of why they had to be set in high school, is that the criteria for a bully romance?

Also, I don't condone bullying of any kind.

Received some #bookmail and I've been enjoying this series a lot. I'm hoping to start this up today, but we'll see where my mood takes me.

From my previous post, thank you for all the love and support. I took the weekend to just relax a bit. It's still something I'm navigating emotionally. Hugs to you all!

Getting a little personal in this one. Gonna talk

Getting a little personal in this one.

Gonna talk a little bit about #postpartum today. It's been about 3 months since my little was born and things have been pretty okay. Earlier this week I started to notice something about my hair. And the last time I washed it, confirmed it.

I was not mentally prepared for postpartum hair loss. I've heard about it happening before, but naturally, things always hit a little bit different when it happens to you.

With postpartum, there's really no telling what will happen. Your hormones are seriously all over the damn place. And well, I'm just processing all of this and it's just leaving me a little meh.

From what I've been told and read, it's temporary and will grow back eventually. So, I'm just gonna take it a day at time.

Today, I just wanted to raise awareness about postpartum because many keep it to themselves. I think about 1 in 7 experience some sort of postpartum anxiety and/or depression. From embarrassment, feeling ashamed or even guilty, just a few reasons why we keep it to ourselves.

Postpartum is different for everyone, check on your mom friends!

he’s an absolute grump and doesn’t like anyone except Ava

neighbors 😉

“touch her and I’ll kill you” — is this a trope now?

GROVELING, we love to see it!

Quite enjoyed this one and Alex is definitely an anti-hero. Looking forward to the backlist of Ana's books and the next one in this series.

/audiobook lovers, what are you currently listening to?

I'm on the hunt for my next one, but I just finished Headhunter by Kristen Proby, a great mix of contemporary romance with a dash of mafia. I'm digging it.

A new author I discovered this year is @authorkelcarpenter and I fell in love with the Daizlei Academy series. (Pretty sure it was through @allthingsnatusch.) And the audiobooks are sooo good!

Now I've been snatching up all the ebooks since they're on KU and they're totally bingeable.

As you all know, I'm a bit obsessed with working on my Netgalley TBR and I kept seeing the one that @angelareadsbooks took part in last month. That got me interested and I decided to participate in #loveARCtuallyxNetgalleyChallenge for April that's hosted by @lovearctually .

There's a bingo card to go along with it and I'm just hoping to get at least one BINGO.

So far I've read 2 ARCs and working on my third. Once I get through these, I'll be picking books at random from my TBR.

Here's to reaching my goal of a 70% feedback ratio by the end of the year!
