Andddddd there goes October, everyone.

Happy Halloween, I’m actually not a huge fan of the holiday, I don’t really care for it. But I love the candy 😉

ALSO, yes … my blog has a new theme and I went away with the lavender color I was in love with. I’ll constantly tweak the settings around to my liking and updating everything as I go. I really didn’t want to be in the “maintenance mode” for too long since my blog ideas are at an all-time high right now. What do you think?

Let’s get down to the recap.

For the month of October, I joined in on #ARCtober20 and it was solid for the most part. I didn’t get to all the ARCs that I needed to read, but hopefully, I’ll catch up on them quickly.

I’ve finally got back into audiobooks, which has been amazing. Since the world shut down, audiobooks were not working for me at all. So you have no idea how elated I am to be listening to them again, I managed to snag the ALC for Black Sun by Rebecca Roanhorse. I haven’t listened to it in a few days, but I’ve been enjoying it so far.

I delved back into a couple of new YA high fantasy series and I’ve been rather proud of myself because it’s a challenge for me to read this genre.

netgalley update

It has been such a great month for my Netgalley TBR, I was at a 55% feedback ratio, but then I downloaded one and it brought me back to 54%. I’m more determined than ever to reach my goal of 60% and I’m very certain it’ll happen before the year is up!

There was only one book that I didn’t get to from Netgalley, but had two from Edelweiss. One was a holiday read, which I realized isn’t something I like to read…hopefully I end up actually reading it …

Only two months to go to reach my goal, we got this!

#pnrreadathon

Since paranormal and fantasy romance have been keeping my attention as of late, I’ve been pretty excited for the #PNRreadathon that’s hosted by booktubers/bookstagrammers:

I used the bingo card they made to select my TBR and I made a rather ambitious list because I’m such a mood reader. I’ve already read one book so far and it didn’t quite meet my expectations. But now I’m invested in this series and need to find out what happens next …

to be read

I’m not going to stress out too much about this readathon, but I’m excited to read some PNR by several new to me authors!

Farewell to October and hello to November. How was your reading this month?

  1. I’m loving the look of the blog 🙌 I have given up on challenges this year, but I love seeing how everyone else is doing!

    1. Thank you! I gave up on the annual ones I originally participated in except for my Netgalley one. 2020 has done wonders with my reading.
