Review
Ahhhhh, be still my heart. If you ever want to test your patience, these are the books that will help you do exactly that. After reading Motion, I knew to expect the same kind of tone with Space. But I sure did love this one so much more than Motion because we definitely get somewhere with Mona and Abram. AND I just fell head over heels in love with Abram. Space is the book for them to work everything out, but time isn’t exactly on their side.
Mona and Abram’s story is addicting and I simply can’t get enough of it. It actually makes me weep a little when I’ve reached the end of part 1 and 2. I love a little angst here and there, you know the kind that you can feel, and Penny sure brings it in Space.
After reading blurb, I was a bit too eager to start this one. I had no idea how things were going to go down between them. There was a bit of a time jump that I wasn’t expecting, but didn’t mind. Mona and Abram are both at different points in their lives and like I’ve mentioned before, time is not something they have enough of.
ABRAM, this book made me love him so much more. Of course, I got a bit infuriated with him because he couldn’t get past his anger and just listen when it came to Mona. He definitely doesn’t hold back one bit. But with all that anger towards her, all the deep feelings he holds for her haven’t gone away. If anything, he’s completely and madly in love with her. And he just simply needs her. But he needs all of her truths, all her honesty, which is something that’s hard for her to do.
Mona … she probably wouldn’t like it or understand it, but I just want to hug and hold her. How she was/is treated is brought to everyone’s attention and your heart will absolutely break for her. We see why she essentially keeps people an arm length away. She hasn’t been shown love, not even from her family. And her brother is on my sh*t list for the time being … he’s so damn selfish and it had yelling out, “how can you think that about your OWN SISTER?!”. Her family doesn’t deserve her and I truly hope they can change my mind on that.
When it comes to Abram and her deep love for the man, I hope he doesn’t hurt her trust. It’s evident that she doesn’t give it freely. Nerves and anxiety is what I’m feeling for the last installment, it won’t be an easy journey ahead, but I’m hoping they can weather through it all.
