Throne of Lies is the prequel and must be read before you start Legacy of Lies.
Legacy of Lies & Throne of Lies are my second reads from Tara Leigh. And I definitely loved Jolie and Tripp’s story. A bit painful and tragic, but I was so looking forward to their second chance at love.
If you’ve been a follower of mine for a while, one of my least favorite thing is young love and holding a grudge over something that happened when they were a kid. But the more you read about the fall of their relationship, it was so much more. Lies, betrayal and tragedy was the best way to sum up the beginning of Tripp’s and Jolie’s story.
After probably one of the worst days in both of their lives, it would be 10 years until they would see each other again. And I was highly anticipating their reunion.
They’ve both made something of their lives, but you can tell that they haven’t exactly been happy since the downfall of everything. More than anything, they’ve missed each other even though they were both still harboring pain and anger from the day they broke up.
I was so eager to know the truth about everything. It becomes pretty evident that there was a huge misunderstanding and you’ll be wondering about the who behind the lies. Who was keeping them apart? The lies are rather unbelievable and just so much shady things going on.
There are so many lies between Jolie and Tripp, but you’ll be begging for their happy ever after. Neither one of them want to deal with the past because of the pain, but they have to weather through it all to start something new.
After I read the prequel, which you must. I just had to continue with Legacy of Lies right away. Tara Leigh does a phenomenal job keeping all of her readers engaged and hooked on every single word.
So much heartbreak, but overall a beautiful story! I’ll always be looking out for more of Leigh’s books!

I was called a prodigal son.
A scion of Midas.
I believed it. Why wouldn’t I?
Everything my father touched turned to gold.
The proof was all around me.
A billion-dollar business.
Even my girlfriend, a Park Avenue Princess.
I reigned from a throne of lies.
My fall from grace… wasn’t graceful at all
