Review

The Baileys series just keeps on getting better and better with every new book Piper Rayne delight us with! With the cliffhanger that we were left off in Advice From a Jilted Bride, I knew I was not alone in how eager I was to get to this book. And it’s here with the big question of who is the baby daddy … Rome or Denver?!

For me, I had my guess on who the baby belonged to and well, I was proven wrong. I even second guessed my pick for a while, but still, Piper and Rayne did a phenomenal job on keeping us on the edge of our seat with that one.

I’m not going to reveal who the dad is because well that’s just a spoiler. So I’ll do my best to write this review without doing so.

The one thing I really loved about this was how effortlessly the dad transitioned into his new role. The Baileys have been through a lot when it comes to their family, so I had no doubt he would be a great father.

With being unfortunately too familiar with being a child of foster care, Harley has her issues with being abandoned and never really having the sense of a family. It’s a bit overwhelming for her to be just thrown into the craziness that is the Baileys. I’ll be honest about the fact that I had a bit of a hang up with Harley and how she wasn’t too open (at first) to accept the fact that he wanted to be there for her and their daughter, Calista. I felt like it was a little undeserved since he showed on numerous times how important it was to be constantly present in his daughter’s life. And it was so evident that he wanted to be with Harley as well.

I loved watching them ease into this new life together and building up a relationship that was already steaming since their one night stand. There’s no doubt that they couldn’t be more perfect for one another and I just loved seeing Harley’s walls about family and him break down.

Anyways, Piper and Rayne knock it out of the park (again!) with this one! I am just loving this series more and more, and am sooooo glad that we’re not even close to being done with this series. We already know who the next book will be about and I just can’t wait!
