Cat disappeared from Bones’ life to protect him, but this Master vampire will keep his promise to find her.

Two hundred years of bounty hunting made Bones the best at what he does, yet it’s still taken him four long years to find Cat, the half vampire now known as the “Red Reaper.” There’s a price on Cat’s head, and not even her job as a secret government agent can save her. Only Bones can. But has time hardened Bones too much to love again? Or will his passion for Cat burn through every obstacle—alive, undead, or otherwise—between them?

Both Feet in the Grave Review

“If you make these my last moments, I’m living them to the fullest, Kitten.”

bones

I’m not sure what to say except that I love Bones, most ardently. As I said about The Other Half of the Grave, I never knew I needed his POV until we got it and book 2 just reinsures it even more. Because I was introduced to Vlad first, it was an instant love for me, but Bones might be taking the #1 spot… Until we get Vlad’s POV, of course.

So much more emotion comes through especially since we see how he has been when they were apart. Agony, I tell ya.

I really need to reread this series again because I have forgotten so much. But what an elevated experience it has been to revisit older scenes, but some newer ones. Or even just the ones we were eager to see what he was thinking.

Jeaniene, thank you, THANK YOU for blessing us with Bones’ books, I’m forever in your debt!

Narration: hats off to Will M. Watt, pure perfection bringing Bones’ to life. I can’t comment much on the accent, but it all sounded great to me.
