I am so thankful that this series is only two books! As many of you know, Pepper loves her long series, I’m not complaining because those series have so much to share. After flying through Crown of Lies and THAT ending, I was so desperate to get my hands on Throne of Truth.
Picking up right where we left off in Crown of Lies, it’s straight suspense and wonderment of what the hell is going to happen to Elle. There’s just so much going on, emotionally as well. Penn’s lies goes deeper and deeper which sends Elle on an endless spiral of trying to figure out the truth. Despite what she think she knows, many can guess who the heck Nameless is!
Questions are answered, truths are revealed, and things are set right. I loved every moment of this book and it’s nearly impossible to write this review without giving anything away.
The tone is different for this book, Penn and Elle are working with time and barriers. They’re working through so much to finally get the ending that they want.
It was hard for me to put this book down and I read it all in one sitting. I was completely hooked and so invested in the story, I just needed to know what happens to EVERYONE. Yes, EVERYONE!
There were times I was a bit disappointed in Elle and thinking to myself, “Seriously, Elle?”. Not sure if washing out her eyes out would help her see things even clearer. Don’t worry, I forgave her in the end.
As much as I loved this book, I wanted more in the end. I wanted to see the full thing play out with THOSE D-BAGS. I wasn’t quite satisfied even when I read the conclusion and everything was wrapped up. And Elle’s dad was ticking me off a bit in the end there.
Anywho, Pepper delivers yet another amazing series, but that shouldn’t be a surprise! As much as I love her dark romances, it’s been refreshing to devour her lighter reads! Please give us more! It was a nice break before we get back into the emotional rollercoaster of the Dollar series!
