I got so many things in this book that I never thought would come so soon and it left me completely satisfied. When it comes to my favorite book in the series, this one soars to #1 and Pepper fans will not be disappointed.
Thousands picks up right where Hundreds ends and we’re left wondering what will happen between Pim and Elder. Now that she has walked away to look out for Elder’s growing feelings that he can’t seem to control or deal with. And it was such a heartbreaking scene when Pim doesn’t see his yacht anywhere in sight. Then we were left wondering what was going to happen to Pim, where would she go from there.
And that had on me edge for most of the book, I was freaking out about Pim the whole time. In the security of Elder, she overcame a lot and gained so much strength. And now that she was on her own, she nearly gets back into that vulnerable state, but her strength carries her through. And she becomes quite the fearless woman. All while she’s trying to figure out the next step in her life, we see more of Elder’s inner turmoil of dealing with not being enough for her and just hurting in the end. But in reality, we all know that Elder just needs to man the eff up.
Aghhhhhh this book! Absolutely loved every moment of it! And I finally got what I’ve been wanting since Book 1 with Elder. It’s a glorious thing, but that’s all you’ll ever know. There were so many moments to love in this book especially when my favorites come through. Everyone, you’re in for a treat with this one.
In true Pepper fashion, we’re given so much, we’re hit with a curveball. And I didn’t see it coming and to be frank I’m not sure how to deal with it. All I’ll say is that I’m extremely curious to see what people say about one of Pepper’s beloved characters during a very specific scene. Gah, it made me so mad!
I’m beyond ready for the next one, I need it like… Yesterday! Pepper, you always deliver!
