Review
Ahhhh, I have SO much love for this series! I’ve been a huge fan since book one and I’m quite certain that this series just gets better as each book comes in. Beau from The Outpost still has my heart as my favorite, but Hunter comes in at a strong second.
Let me start off by saying that withholding the truth will get you nowhere except in a lot of trouble … and the longer you hold that bomb of a truth in, the bigger the destruction.
I’ve been so eager to hear Maisy’s story since we get to see her in the previous books. She has gone through so much with her ex, the greatest thing she got from him was her son. At this point, now that he’s 3 years old, she has her inn and friends, she’s content with her life. The people she surrounds herself with, all have found their happiness in someone and she’s just happy with her son. However, her friends won’t stop at trying to set her up on blind dates that just end up being a big fail. Maisy tries to play it off like she doesn’t need someone, but deep down it’s what she wants. But after all she endured with her ex, Everett, will she be able to open again and trust someone.
Hunter, he’s THE guy for her. You’ll know it instantly and I’m sure everyone in this book knows it. It just takes some time for Maisy to come around to her new occupant at the inn, but he chips away at her walls. All while keeping a pretty big secret from her. So, from the get go, you already know once the secret is out, all hell will break loose. But I love how relentless he is with her and refuses to take no as answer, especially from Maisy. She can push him away all she wants, but deep down she knows that he’s perfect for her.
Their story was perfect in so many ways and I loved every single page of The Bitterroot Inn. Devney Perry has easily become one of my favorite authors and I’m so sad to see the end of this beautiful series. It was the perfect ending and I’m just in love with the last paragraph Devney writes … guess you’ll just have to read the book to see what I’m talking about.
I highly recommend not only this story, but the entire Jamison Valley series. Devney has created beautiful stories for each couple and you’ll definitely fall in love with all of them. She’ll draw you in with not only her characters but the way she writes. Soooo, hurry up and 1-click this series!
