Holy moly, what did I just read?! If you’re like me and essentially afraid of everything, DO. NOT. READ. THIS. AT. NIGHT!
I have to say, when an author decides to write in a different genre and absolute nails it, you can’t help but just rave about it. Kristen Proby absolutely killed it with her first paranormal. And YES, it is 100% a paranormal and I was just not prepared for it.
The romance lover in me will always beg for more, it was a little low in Shadows
, but it was completely fitting. And to be honest, if Kristen decided throw in the steamy scenes and then BAM, creepy-spooky scenes. Talk about 180!
Between the setting and the amazing characters, it’s easy to get lost in New Orleans among the many unanswered questions we have about the mysteries of this place. I’ve never been to New Orleans, but there’s always a draw when it comes anything paranormal.
I wasn’t quite hooked on the relationship between Brielle and Cash, but it didn’t stop me from enjoying this story as a whole. I’m so excited for this series! Since Brielle is one of three sisters, I can’t wait to learn more about their powers and see where their journey takes us.
