Review

The Nothing But Trouble series was definitely one that got better and better with every book! Next up we have Rock Rebel, which is Dax and Verity’s story. It hits you there on the emotional scale and a story with real life issues that NEED to be talked about more. Everything about these two is just deep and resonant, they’re definitely characters that you can’t seem to forget.

Dax has always been a bit of a mystery to me and I’ve been dying know more about him. And his past was something I couldn’t wait to learn about because whatever happened to him defined his future. And it prevented him for pursuing anything with anyone. Then Verity came along and completely turned his world on its’ axis.

Dax might win you over with his bit of brooding, yet sexy persona, but Verity takes the cake for me in their story. I absolutely felt for her and everything she endured during her time in Hollywood, she was terribly wronged and the person who should have always been in her corner, wasn’t. When she realized she had an out, she took it and was just ready to move forward with her life and get that much needed fresh start.

It’s absolutely heartbreaking and it makes you want to punch the people who wronged her right in the face … maybe several times.

I loved everything about this book, the intense connection between Dax and Verity. I’ll be honest I say that Verity was a bit forgiving when it came to Dax because he kept changing his mind more times than I liked. But Dax easily won me over with his persistence to do anything for Verity. She had stolen his heart completely!

When it comes to interconnected series, I love seeing the rest of the gang pop up. Tara did a flawless job of writing a romance with real topics, never going overboard or exaggerating to the point where it took away from the story. I’m a huge fan and can’t wait to read more of her books!
