Review
When it comes to Rachel’s Seaside series, I’ll take anything that I can get. And I just about devoured Provoke
and as far as novellas go, Rachel definitely did a solid job with giving us so much in a limited amount of pages.
The plot will definitely home for a lot of people, but I think Rachel did a phenomenal job of going about this storyline. Braden, at the height of his career was struck by something so tragic it was tough for him to come back from. The fear, guilt and anxiety of that day lives so deeply inside of him, how will he be able to come back from it.
Braden and his life coach, Piper, are quite the duo. There was no doubt that she’d be the one to help him heal from his emotional trauma and move forward with his life. And it’s absolutely a beautiful journey, he is a survivor and he really honed on that to hopefully help the families that were affected by this to heal as well.
Rachel adds in some comedic tones through not only Braden’s bright personality, but from the supporting cast as well. There’s so much to love about each and every one of them.
Truly a great addition to this series and for once when it comes to the novellas in the 1,001 Dark Nights, you can definitely read this as a true standalone. However, I can’t recommend this series enough.
