About Pack Enforcer

Previously published under a different title (ENFORCER)

This wolf mates for life…

Nina Reyes knows trouble when she sees it, and Lex Warden, Enforcer for the local werewolf pack, is nothing but. When her brother gets in too deep with some dangerous wolves and comes to Nina for help—dragging super alpha protector Lex into her life—she can handle it. She might have put her grifter past behind her, but she’s still got what it takes. If only she didn’t find Lex—his body, his scent, even his domineering nature—so intoxicating.

As Enforcer, it’s Lex’s job to protect his people. Nina might be more capable of handling herself than he initially thought, but that doesn’t mean she’s safe from their enemies. His need to protect her is more than just pack business—Nina, a human, is his mate. Bedding her once is not even close to enough; to satisfy his wolf, he needs a true bond.

The heat between them scares Nina, but sometimes the reward is worth the risk, and the thought of living without Lex terrifies her more than any threat the werewolf mafia can pose. Lex will do anything to keep her safe. And when the Rogues catch up to them, he’ll get a chance to prove it…

Review

I’ve read many shapeshifter books, but this series has definitely become my favorite. It wasn’t what I expected, but I enjoyed every moment of this book. When it comes to the previous shapeshifter books I’ve read, it’s an instant love (which most tend to be), someone choosing to transform (sometimes not), and that’s that. There’s never really much to the story. But not with Pack Enforcer.
Nina has got to be one of my favorites EVER, she’s strong, a badass, witty, and she holds to her ideals. She doesn’t take sh*t from anyone and I love that about her. Nina is a character that anyone can admire.
Nina has been taking care of her brother, Gabriel, for years. And he finally pulls her into something more that she’s never asked for. Because of what she has done in her past, she has gone years living the life of the straight and narrow. Keeping her small group of friends and running her floral business. She’s content with her life. With Gabriel bitten years ago in a bar fight, Nina was exposed to the world of the pack. Now that he’s on the run after his friend’s murder, Nina is thrown into things that happen too fast and whether she’s prepared for it or not, she doesn’t really have a choice but to take it all in. Even if it fights everything she believes in.
Lex, he’s the pack enforcer and second in command to the alpha, who just happens to be his brother. He’s strong, loyal and extremely protective of not only his family, but his pack. And when Nina and Lex come together, it’s nothing be interesting and hysterical. Nina definitely gives him a run for his money.
There’s a lot of questions that need to be answered in this book, and they go all lengths to find the answers. Not only answers but closure as well.
We really see each character develop as the story goes on, but also about the problems within the lycan mafia (crazy, I know). There’s a bigger issue at play, which could possibly expose the wolves in the human world. Yes, there’s little exposure to humans, but the last thing they want is to have wolves on everyone’s radar.
I thought this was a great story, you can definitely see the bigger story at play, all while it has its’ focus on Nina and Lex’s story. Individually they grow, but so does their relationship. I’m interested in seeing how Nina will be able to get over certain things when it comes to the wolves. She doesn’t exactly trust them all and I side with her on that one. I wanted so much more at the end of the book, but we’ll see more of these characters in the books to come.
If you don’t like shapeshifters, erotica; don’t read this series.
