EAT. SLEEP. FOOTBALL.

Those are Jackson Jennings, Jr’s three mantras . His entire life, he’s been a trained athlete with only one end-game: the Pro’s. No girls. No parties. No alcohol.

EAT. SLEEP. FOOTBALL.

Repeat.

Every Friday night, Triple J cruises the strip on campus, bored, lonely and conditioned not to party. But the night he meets Charlotte Edmonds on the side of the road, he wonders if his three mantras will ever be enough.

BIG. DUMB. JOCK.

Charlie has no time for Jackson’s antics. Not when he’s stealing her food or teases her to no end, making her tingle in all the right places. But if she’s ever going to have a boyfriend, she’d choose one who isn’t a Neanderthal. One with manners and actual time to spend with her. Not a hulking man-child who cruises the strip at night, in his Big. Dumb. Truck.

Review

Anyone else like me and always waiting for the next Sara Ney book release?! Jock Road is here and it has been on my highly-anticipated list for this year. Hands down a rather cute and adorable hero that is Jackson. Who second guesses everything he does except when it comes to being hungry 😉 He’s definitely the most dorky, innocent, yet sweet as pie hero that Sara has ever given us.

Overall, I truly, TRULY, enjoyed their story. Was it my favorite, not quite. But it had it’s many moments that I definitely loved.

I think the one thing that I struggled with was the pacing in their relationship. Now normally, I don’t mind it sometimes, but it didn’t work in this instance. The tone of how their relationship was going to go or well supposed to grow was set in the first half of the book. And then once the second part came, it just sped off rather too quickly for my liking. Everything that was kind of just jumbled all together and one scenario was left unfinished.

With that being said, trusttttt me, I thought it was a decent read and definitely a great addition to this series. Everyone will find something to love about the Jackson Jennings.

major thank you to wildfire media solutions for the complimentary copy in consideration for a review. this does not affect my opinion of the book or review.
