Review
Well, Hollywood Prince has come and I’m just not quite ready to say farewell to the Hollywood Royalty series! Carter and Erin’s story is up next and as usual when it comes to Natasha’s books, I always have zero expectations and just eager to see what kind of story she whipped up for us.
Carter is everything the media speculates him to be, but he definitely ended up surprising me with his personality, overall. With all of his bad boy tendencies, he’s actually a sweet, funny and endearing character. I wasn’t expecting that at all from a character like him, but I was sure loving him. Of course there were few things he did that had me thinking why, oh why would you do that?! He definitely has some less than finer moments in this one.
I really enjoyed how these two just kind of fell into this friendship, which eventually evolved into more. Erin is a bad ass at her job and I loved that she didn’t take any shit from Carter. She constantly called him out on things and was solely focus on turning his reputation around. She wasn’t there to play games or give into his charms. Everything was going smoothly until things were suddenly becoming more between them.
Overall, I really enjoyed the story. I had some hang ups with Carter and Erin at times with not really sure if they were acting their age or not perhaps a bit immature at times. I think I could have gone without the extra drama especially towards the end. I totally didn’t see that coming and found it a bit unnecessary.
However, my love for Erin’s parents are infinite and there’s a bit of twist that Natasha throws in there that I honestly had no idea would happen. Well done!
I’m so sad to say farewell to this series, but I’m always eager for Natasha’s next book!
