Review
Where do I even begin? What an absolute delight it was to read Fresh Meet, the beginning of the Kings of the Water series. I’ll be honest, the nanny trope is not my favorite to read about, but you got other tropes coming in and I loved every minute of this one.
This is definitely my favorite by Jasmin and now that we’ve met the other Kings (I think), there’s just so much anticipation for this series.
I loved the slow burn aspect to this, even though their attraction and chemistry is off the charts from the very beginning. They didn’t act on it right away, I loved that they took their time to get to know each other. And little by little, you can slowly see that fine line between them disappearing.
Millie is a favorite for sure, a bit of a unique character that deserves everything good in life. I will see she was a bit more forgiving than I would have been when it came to Jace being an absolute jerk face. But I digress.
With Jace being a single parent, I think she transitioned into the role effortlessly. His life changed completely and I’d definitely say for the better. I absolutely adored Tanner and with all the small wins that Jace and Millie face together with him, I understood that completely. When it comes to toddlers, you take what you get and cherish every single moment.
Be ready for Fresh Meet to just win you over!
