Can I just say that I’m excited that Jasinda decided to give us a spin-off series (of sorts!) of the Badds with the Goode girls?! AND in For a Goode Time Call
…, we get to know Ink a bit better. I can’t say that I loved this as much as the other Badds books, but I absolutely loved the connection that Ink and Cassie had with one another. It’s a bit on the erotic/sensual side and there’s nothing wrong with that.
Ink is what I’d describe as the gentle giant. There was a lot of build up to his deep secret that was his biggest vulnerability. It definitely what I was expecting, but it was an intrigue that drew me into his story. He’s just a different type of character and someone that is extremely down to earth.
Cassie Goode starts off this series and she’s a bit of a hot-head. I loved how Ink handled her and just how patient and gentle he was with her. Cassie was definitely one to fly off the handle, but I appreciated that she took her time to stew and figure everything out rationally.
I’m excited for this new series and can’t wait to meet the rest of the Goode sisters. This was such a great introduction to this series that gives us the littlest of hints to what’s to come.
