As a former member of the United States Secret Service, Iβm no stranger to putting my life on the line in the name of duty. Having left the nationβs capital to re-settle in Pittsburgh, the skills I acquired during my tenure in Washington have made me a valued member of the team at Jameson Force Security. But when the President comes seeking a favor to protect his niece, I find myself on the fast track back to the Oval Office.
Simply putβ¦ sheβs beyond brilliant. A nationally renowned energy scientist, Barrett Alexander is on the verge of a breakthrough that will change the world. Unfortunately, that has also made her the target of a suspected terrorist cell. And while Barrett doesnβt believe sheβs in any real danger, the President isnβt willing to take chances with her life.
As the threats against Barrett become more calculated, I decide taking her on the run is her best chance of survival. Danger, isolation, and attraction ensure we grow closer than Iβd ever thought possible. When I realize I want to keep her safe for reasons that have nothing to do with my job and everything to do with the woman Iβve fallen in love with, no one is safe from the hell Iβll rain down on those that threaten her.

Review
“It’s easy to forget that I’m her protector and she’s a job for which I’ll be well compensated.”
When it comes to Sawyer Bennett, I’ve only ever read from her hockey series. And for the year, I wanted to add more romantic suspense to my TBR and that’s whereΒ Code Name: Sentinel popped up and I loved every minute of it!
With this one being the first that I’ve read from the Jameson Force Security series, I’m pretty eager to go back and read Code Name: Genesis.
I think I need to add more bodyguard romances to my tbr because I’ve come around to loving them. And the whole forced proximity, something’s bound to happen and it was steamier than ever!
To me, this was a bit offΒ opposites attract, but they were so perfect for one another. There was an instant attraction between and add in their banter, things were heating up pretty quickly.
Cruce has his feelings for Barrett, I loved that when it came to his work, he kept those feelings as tight as possible. But there was no hiding from the other guys he works with. And it was hilarious when they would call him out on it.
The suspense was perfect and I kept turning page after page. Barrett endured soooo much towards the end, but it truly showed how strong of a character she is!
I’m soooo looking forward to starting at the beginning and all the books to come!
major thank you to the author for the complimentary copy in consideration for a review. this does not affect my opinion of the book or review.
