Baking Me Crazy is my first read that’s part of the Smartypants Romance, you know, just more romance in the universe that Penny Reid created and loved by so many. Baking Me Crazy
is a read by a new-to-me author, which makes me more excited for the Smartypants Romance world, just more authors to read from.
I’ll be honest, unrequited love stories make me a little nervous because when it eventually comes to that point where they start to explore a relationship, I wonder if it’s one-sided or not. However, I loved watching their friendship grow into something more.
I was completely nervous for Levi the entire time, but it was such an insta-love for me and his character! It’s nearly impossible to not fall head over heels for the guy. Of course, he’s the ultimate best friend and goes above and beyond for Joss. But he also has the patience of a Saint.
Joss is one tough cookie and a bit unaware about a lot of things. And I found that downright adorable. Her feelings were very authentic when Levi dropped some truth about how he felt for her. I was so thankful that she took the time to really think everything over before jumping into something.
I wish there was more on their relationship, but hopefully we’ll see in the next installment of the Donner Bakery
series.
