Review
As far as Kendall Ryan books go, it wasn’t a favorite, but I still enjoyed this light and quick read.
I’m a sucker for second chance romances, so I’ll rarely say no to them. But lately, I’ve realized that I’m becoming less of a fan where the heartache happens when they’re teenagers. However, Dear Jane surprised me a bit because one of the reasons for their fall out was so much more than I had initially imagined.
And that reason was what really stuck with me because it was absolutely heartbreaking and kind of shed a bad light on Weston for me. I guess this was probably the only heavy part, but we weren’t visiting that scene for very long.
I really admired Jane so much, she’s really such a strong character and takes her job seriously. I was hoping to see a bit more of her friendship with Alex, but I had a feeling that Kendall didn’t want to highlight that too much in case readers were nervous about a possible triangle. Friends is all that they are, so nothing to worry about on that front.
As far as Weston goes, he’s an extremely lucky guy when it came to Jane. He blew his chances more than once and it was pretty unforgiveable to me. Jane was quite forgiving in this moment. And she was too nice when it came to him in my opinion.
Despite these little things here and there, still an enjoyable read!
