Review
Fiona Cole definitely has a way with words where it draws you in instantly. Voyeur was my first read by her, I think it’s all a part of an interconnected standalones in a series, but I’m not entirely sure. I didn’t read the second book, Lovers, simply because the uncertainty of a trope that’s my no-go for reading. I’ve been dying to read another book of hers and that’s when Savior came into the fold.
I wasn’t sure what kind of read we were gonna get, but based off of what I read in Voyeur, we’d get that forbidden aspect with a bit of a dark-ish romance. This read definitely had my emotions all over the place and I just couldn’t get a grip on them. But I was still enjoying every bit of their steamy story.
It threw me so much that Alexandra would sell her virginity for money, but she was desperate to feed herself and her sister, who quite frankly I have so many hang-ups with, her sister I mean. I know that family is family, but that girl wronged Alex so many damn times it’s pretty unforgivable. I was completely baffled by it and I absolutely felt for Alex and EVERYTHING she had to endure from her sister and her sister’s creep of boyfriend …
Erik intrigued me, but he was also a grade-A (insert whatever word you can think of). He was like night and day, mostly stemming from his deep attraction towards Alex. And his way to separate that was to be absolutely horrible to her, I wasn’t a fan of the games that he played with her. If I were Alex, I’d slap that man in the face. He oozes all the alpha qualities, but he has a story of his own … it’s heartbreaking. And that’s when we learn where his savior tendencies came from.
You’ll definitely get all the sexy-forbiddeness with Savior and their attraction is beyond compare. I really wanted to see more of an emotional connection between them or well just a bit more of a development on that front. To me it felt purely physical, not that I mind that too often. But this time, I was craving that.
Definitely an enjoyable read and the epilogue has me all ready for the next book! Gimme, gimme!
