Synopsis

Life isn’t so bad for succubus, Kenna Blake. True, she seems to be the only succubus with a conscience and a specific strategy for finding her male meals, but she has a cute new apartment,a budding graphic design business, and the most unique friend
she’s ever had.

Her personal love life, however, is non-existent.

Until the legendary vampire Randal Vincent sweeps into her life. Even though he isn’t someone she set out to date, at least she can kiss him without killing him. But when you’re dating someone who’s the inspiration for Dracula, there are bound to be a few hiccups along the way…

Review

OK, so I really did enjoy this book, but there were some bits and pieces that were missing for me. I don’t think I’ve read a book with a succubus before, which made it a very intriguing storyline. And hope to get a whole lot more as the series goes on.
Where do I start, maybe the characters?
Kenna, I think she’s definitely a person that I’d like to be friends with except the whole sucking your energy thing. She’s pretty chill and is one of those people that you have a low-key night with. But her life is pretty eventful especially when she needs to satiate her hunger.
Sage, I have quite a few questions about her, but I’m not her biggest fan … bizzzznatchhhhhh. And she’s quite the mystery to me because there’s a lot I feel like we don’t know about her especially her past. All I’ll say for now is that jealousy can be an evil monster!
Dex, LOVEEEEE him and we definitely need more of him! He’s hilarious and I loved every scene with him in it! At this moment, I favor him more than Randal, which leaves me to my next point.
Randal, at the moment I don’t have too strong of an opinion about him. He’s one great mystery and given what we all know about Dracula, there’s a lot more to him then was mentioned in this book. He seemed a bit awkward, but I definitely feel like we’ll get so much more in the next book!
I love the paranormal elements in this one, especially Kenna’s ability to see auras and identify the different fantastical creatures she comes across in her everyday life. Snyder does a solid job with the storyline and describing this world. Are there humans in this world? Or is it just one huge paranormal world? I’m totally okay with that though, you’ll see why I asked this as you read. This book is a great base for the rest of the series and I’m looking forward to reading the next one! I had no idea there was a prequel, so maybe that will help me out with some of my questions!
Very enjoyable read!
