Synopsis

Now that she’s found him again, all Mia Crawford wants is some downtime with her fallen angel boyfriend, Michael. But the call of duty keeps him away—from school and from her—with more demons to smite than ever.

When Michael is mortally wounded by a cursed sword, Mia must perform an ancient blood ritual to save him. But the spell exacts a price. Haunted by visions of war, torture, and despair, Mia discovers the world is in more danger than she ever imagined. Behind the scenes, an evil adversary pulls all the strings.

After redemption, there’s Hell to pay.

Review

The Angel Killer is the sequel to The Watcher and I thoroughly enjoy this series! It’s definitely a constantly page turner for me! If you haven’t read the first book in this series, then you shouldn’t be reading this review … just saying!
Things pick up right where they left off in the first book! I’d like to say BRAVO on character development, we get to see more of the other angels and are better acquainted, I’d really love to hear their stories. I enjoyed learning more about Michael’s past despite how dark it was, but it added a great aspect to this story because it provides this barrier that Michael and Mia need to get over. You can’t help, but feel bad for them because they truly can’t be together the way they want to be and in time as the series goes on, we’ll hopefully see things unfold and they can PUBLICLY be together!
As to be expected, The Angel Killer is jam-packed with more action, romance, suspense, mystery and even a bit of a betrayal, which I didn’t exactly see coming. I had my hunches, but didn’t want it to be true … how could you?!
I think in this book you finally see who will be the big boss by the time this series is over and it’ll leave you wondering how things will end for EVERYONE! I keep waiting for this huge gesture for Mia to do, no idea why I get that hunch, but it’s there. Granted that she did mature in this book and slowly started to realize her strength, I have high expectations of her and what she’s capable of. She still has so much fear of the unknown and she just needs to take control. Hopefully we’ll see that in the third book.
I love how unique this book is, paranormal is my ultimate favorite and I’m no stranger to reading books with fallen angels. And I’d have to say this is completely different than any of the other angel books that I’ve read, but I can never get tired of them. I have a few favorite angel series and this one has been added to my list! Look forward to the third one because of the cliffhanger ending in this one ….
