Review

I think I’m going to have to break up with the sibling’s best friend trope, I’m finding them to be nearly all the same. And this wasn’t a new adult read, so naturally the brother and hero always seems to have it out. I did enjoy Playing for Keeps, but this one stuck in that I won’t be gravitating towards this trope anymore.

It has been a while since I’ve read a book by Kendall Ryan and I’ll say that I’ve missed reading her books. I’m quite the fan of hers, this wasn’t written horribly or anything, it’s just not my kind of trope. However, I’m pretty excited to read the other books in the series, hopefully the audio because I loved the narrators for this one!

I will say that they had a close relationship since they were kids, I loved that the attraction between the two was constantly growing throughout the story. Everything was pretty predictable, but they were absolute hot together. It was only a matter of time before deeper feelings got involved.

Even if the trope is no longer my favorite, it was so nice to get back into a Kendall Ryan read again. And I can’t wait to start book 2.

NARRATORS : Count me in for any book that these two narrate! I was completely engaged from beginning to end. Shoot, I listened to this in one sitting! I’m excited that Jason Clarke will be narrating the next one.
