All Superheroes Need Photo Ops by Elizabeth Stephens
From the moment forty-eight alien superheroes crash-landed on Earth, photographer Monika Neumann had a favorite. She’s been crushing on the literally electrifying Taranis ever since she saw the cutie crawling out of his pod. Unfortunately, his popularity isn’t exactly crackling these days. He could use an image boost.
Monika is in. One right photo op and she’ll put her ridiculously hot lightning-bolt-wielding hero back in the public’s favor. The best part is, the mission will bring her closer to Taranis. She’s already looking forward to the sparks. Monika never imagined there’d be a worst part: an accidental recording that reveals Taranis could be more villain than hero. In fact, her pretty golden boy can get kind of ugly.
Going all 007 and spying on Taranis isn’t the adventure in romance and derring-do she expected. Can she trust him? Doubtful. Can she resist him? No way. Is she ready to risk everything on a shimmering Champion with the power to zap her heart in two? Well, yeah.

All Superheroes Need Photo Ops by Elizabeth Stephens Audio Review
Another one, thank you! Elizabeth does it again with the addition to the Supers in the City series! Here we have Monika and Taranis, and what a duo they are!
The tone of this book was a bit different than book one and it definitely caught me off-guard or perhaps a little off-kilter. But we got on the train very quickly. With the nature of Monika’s job being a photographer who is out there on the front lines, we get a glimpse of what she sees beyond the lens. And it quickly becomes quite graphic, which is to be expected of her job. Day in and out, she heads out there.
I really liked the dynamic between Monika and Taranis, let’s be real, he is not a nice person and you know what, I’ll respect that! But he’s definitely in the villain, maybe more than morally gray. And that’s just him, he is not trying to be anything except true to himself. He definitely wasn’t expecting Monika to throw things off completely, that’s for sure. And seeing trying to manage his feelings about it all will have you laughing. He was just so funny, but yes, feelings are valid. I just enjoyed watching it all unfold.
And I enjoyed the D/s dynamic and I thought they communicated pretty well around that. Also, bravo on the aftercare, points for that! Despite communicating well in the bedroom, it wasn’t always the case outside of it and it’ll definitely bring up some tension between them.
5 stars to the narration, Emery Erickson and Sean Crisden did a phenomenal bring Monika and Taranis to life! Their narration brought every scene out, vividly. I’ll definitely be looking out for more of their work.
Thank you to Elizabeth Stephens for the gifted ALC and Montlake for the digital copy.
