romance schmomance

It was 2011, just graduated college and moved across the country to be with my boyfriend (now husband). I was still in the process of looking for a job and suddenly with time on my hands. Went to the local library, got a card and started perusing the romance section. Nora Roberts was really the start for me, I just couldn’t stop reading. And that’s how Romance Schmomance started, I wanted to have a place where I could talk about all the romance books that I loved and find a community within this space.

Things have gone to the wayside and I’m hoping to revive the blog a bit. I’ll forever love romance books and have no idea what direction this blog will go. But I’ve missed this space and ready to spend more time on it.

I started reading a little bit here and there since I was a child, but it was until college where I started to read more for leisure. I knew right away that romance was where my heart was set and I’ve been passionate romance book lover ever since. Nora Roberts and Twilight were truly the start of it all and we’ve expanded our horizons since then.

Paranormal romance will forever be my number one and contemporary has fallen to the side a little bit. However, add a bit of angst and perhaps have it read as a dark romance, I’m there. I’ve been trying for years to get into historical romance, but have yet to find the book that works for me.

HAPPILY EVER AFTERS ONLY.

You can break my heart into a million pieces during the process, but as long as things are tied up with a happily ever after bow, I’m OK. And all the points if you can make me cry. I’m a mood reader and it’s quite unfortunate sometimes, but it definitely makes things exciting around here.
